One morning at the beach

Taken on May 17th, this was my idea one morning.
Thought I bring the kids out to the beach and have a closer feel to the nature besides the usual playground at the park.

He has this syndrome in him... not so favourable with dirtying his hands with paint, food, liquid.. in this case... sand!

Lil curly ratsy indeed enjoyed himself with blowing candles and singing birthday song and all the attention given. And this year he thoroughly enjoyed eating his birthday ocolaty taste jucake, compared to previous 2 years when he has yet to acquire sweet chocolaty taste.

Movies By The Park by Class 95 FM

The idea came from Chong. He wanted us and the kids do something different for the weekend.
And so we dug out the adventurous side of us and attempted this almost impossible feat of
1) Bringing the kids to the outdoor in the evening (with lots of friendly mossies around)
2) Mission: to watch a 150minutes long movie titled Despicable Me
(We kinda have this huge hope that the kids would keep still and watch along since it's an animated cartoon)
3)Expected massive crowd considering this is a once a year event

Verdict?
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!

The kids actually finished the entire movie!

Found our spot.
Papa took awhile before finding himself a parking space.

The evening started with us arriving at 6pm and the whole field was already crowded!
I found a spot quite near to the screen but I figured well I'm not putting much hope in staying throughout the movie, so picking a spot on a corner is pretty ideal in case the 2 nuts goes berserk halfway.
And whilst waiting for the sky to turn dark, Class 95 crews had rounds of questionaires with prizes and a ball game. (was feeding the kids dinner so didn't manage to take pictures of the gigantic ball game rolling among the crowd). It was a well maintained situation despite the long wait and seemed like both Josh and Kaye enjoyed watching the ball rolling around and cheers among the crowd.

Check out the crowd. We arrived at 6:15pm. The supposed timing for event opening: 6pm ..???
Singaporeans just loveeeeee to wait!! Apparently the crowd started swarming in since 4pm!
Faint!


And finally the movie started around 7:20pm. Lasted well awhile till...well Josh got a little distracted towards 3/4 of the show but we managed to settle him back down and continue watching.

Boy was I all excited and extremely proud seeing my lil bubs behaving so well throughout the event! We fed them home cooked dinner there, on our trusted LG bumper mat, thick and well cushioned enough for us to last throughout the evening and we had burgers and hotdogs from Favourite Botak -the only food stall there. Shame I forgot to take picture of our mat n dinner.

It was indeed a relaxing enjoyable once in a while event and we definitely love to do this again next year! With the kids a year older and more settled, I'm sure we're able to enjoy ourselves even more. And I will definitely work on a better and comprehensive picnic basket next time round! hehehehe... loaded with drinks and chips! if not Garrett's POPCORN! :P
