Kaye turns 1 ஐ21Octஐ

Bought a cake from the Icing Room where the cake comes plain covered with fresh cream
and we get to decorate the cake ourselves :)

Hence the "I killed the name" part!!
Well, few more tries and I'll get there one fine day ;)

KaYe's 1st LiL Birthday ParTy ஐ17Octஐ

Kaye's little birthday party was held at my beloved godpa's little humble cozy cafe

called 6Stone Jars @British Council Singapore.

A 'self' personalised giant banner I made for my darling angel.
Printed each letters with the biggest font size that fits on an A4 paper, cut em out
and stick it on flowery print wrapping papers and cut em out again :))
(the things full time mommies spend their time on :P )

A little decoration I added besides the banner and balloons,
Kaye's pixies over made into collages over the 12months since she was born :)
I had them developed in 10Rs, back in Penang! hahaha..
cheapoh me! would have cost me a bomb having them printed in Singapore!
(we were back in Penang for a week just before Kaye's party)

no no, let me rephrase, mommy's guardian angel for the past 12months!
Aunty Wan Chee who helped look after Kaye on those many many days so I could cope around the house and spend some quality alone time with Josh.
Thank you! muahhhhh!!!

Kaye's humble birthday cake.
Thank goodness I bought the candles, which was meant for her
original birthday cake I ordered and fully paid ($150) in June.
However, it was unfortunate that the baker played me out,
not only she did not deliver the cake, she went missing and I could not reach her nor have my $$ refunded :(

Tried reaching the baker a week before the party and when the day finally came and still no news from her, I decided to buy a replacement cake from the mall I collected the balloons from. A decent looking but taste great cake from Four Leaves Bakery.
Thankfully, the candle did a good job of bringing up the nostalgic feeling,
something to redeem back the missing 'fancy' cake.

This is how Kaye's fancy birthday cake suppose to look like,
a combination of both cakes above without the figurines with just No.1 candle on top.
Mommy here vow to order another fancy cake for her lil cili padi's next birthday!
